Singer, Composer, Educator and Director
The sheet music of Emmanuel Solomon represents a wide variety of music for vocal and instrumental solos, chamber, and orchestral works and arrangements based on and appropriate for both sacred and secular performances. His polystylistic and avant-grade method of composition, for instance in his Piano Quintet in E minor, is reflective of musical influences from his background both as being a person of African descent that has been exposed to its musical styles but also as a colleagiate who relishes the western musical traditions. His works are reminiscent of composers like Alfred Schnittke and Anton Webern. His works contain elements of neo-classicism and post-tonalism.
Many of the titles below have been performed widely and critically acclaimed to be exciting and unconventional for their unique ability to be engaging, influence of various musical styles and soundscapes and accessibility to chamber, orchestral and choral groups in professional choirs, community groups, schools, colleges, and churches.
His works Amazing Grace (Auld Lang Syne), Yoruba Christmas Medley, and Piano Quintet are some of his most recent and most performed works in concerts. Emmanuel’s works will be premiered in 2026 in most continents across the globe including Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia.
